Date: | September 10, 2003 |
Exposure: | HaRGB : 400:60:60:100 20 x 1200s Ha, 6 X 600s R,G & 10 x 600s B |
Processing: | CCDSoftV5 for image acquisition, MaxIm for RGB combine, image calibration: 20 flats each Ha,R,G,B, dark subtracted and median combined, 30 bias frames median combined, 16-1200s, 20-600s darks median combined, alignment, normalization, and color combining. Photoshop for Ha+R G B combining, final balance and web conversion. I used Rob Gendler's HaRGB method to add the Ha+R and then create the Ha+RGB, then used the Ha+R for the Luminance for the final composition. |
Conditions: | Above average, Mag 4-4.5 Skies, very clear and lower humidity than normal. |
Scope: | AP 155 EDF @ F/7 on a Paramount ME |
Camera: | SBIG ST-8XE/CFW-8A, -20°, Custom Scientific 3nm Ha Filter |
Comments: | This was taken over 5 nights to get the almost 7 hours of Ha data needed to have good S/N. The RGB images were all taken on the same night. R and G before the meridian and B after. I used a Photoshop plugin called "OZONE" by Digital Film Tools to tweak the final color before posting. |
