Date: April 25, 2001 (Reworked 02-04-03)
Exposure: LRGB 120:30:40:50 : 12 x 600s L, 3 x 600 R, 4 x 600 G, 5 x 600 B
Processing: MaxIm DDP, Stretch - Reprocessing with MaxIm, ddp on L layer only, RGB combine in MaxIm, LRGB in Photoshop with adjustments to color, levels, curves, saturation. Also slight unsharp to Galaxy and blur to stars. I was very pleased with the details that were able to be drawn out of the original with the additional techniques I learned from Ron Wodaski's book.
Conditions: Good clear night with low humidity
Scope: C14 @ f/7
Mount: Celestron CI700 w/SkyWalker II GoTo
Camera: SBIG ST-9E, -30°, Celestron 6.3 Focal Reducer
Comments: The mount co-operated tonight and the tracking was as good as it has ever been. Clear skies and no wind.
