This effort was taken over 3 nights during a very nice clear spell. I tested John Smith's Sequencer II software and started imaging after the meridian. I set it up to take the light exposures, park the scope, take some dark frames, and then shut down the cooler. I works very well. I used Ron Wodaski's TCF-S Control program to maintain focus over the entire 8 hours of exposure. Once the temp/step ratio is determined, the program keeps the image in excellent focus while engaged. |
