Exposure: Ha 28800 : 24 x 1200s H-Alpha
Processing: Images taken with CCDSoftV5, MaxIm for Image calibration,alignment, and normalization. 16 flats Sigma Reject combined, 40 bias frames median combined, 20 1800s darks median combined. Photoshop for final balance and jpg conversion.
Conditions: Average, Mag 3-4 Skies)
Scope: AP 155 EDF, f/7 (1.671 arcsec/pixel)
Camera: SBIG ST-8XE/CFW-8, -20°
Comments: This effort was taken over 3 nights during a very nice clear spell. I tested John Smith's Sequencer II software and started imaging after the meridian. I set it up to take the light exposures, park the scope, take some dark frames, and then shut down the cooler. I works very well. I used Ron Wodaski's TCF-S Control program to maintain focus over the entire 8 hours of exposure. Once the temp/step ratio is determined, the program keeps the image in excellent focus while engaged.
